Hi Just a quick query about class 136, Midland Intermediate Dressage Championship.... ....it says "each rider will perform two prelim tests each...." ....however the tests are then given as prelim 12 and novice 24
I take it the tests are correct, it is just a typo in the description?!
thanks

Got to say, I hope the fences are going to be up to height this year at the Championships, last few years it has been a little disappointing. Mind you the standard of courses at various shows leaves a lot to be desired, you go to Stanley Park, you jump a full up, full width course with fillers and related distances, and you know if you get in the ribbons you have jumped well, and you stand a chance at the Champs, you go to other local shows, no fillers, very poorly built courses, and fences just off the floor for 2'9" because the judges friend is on the same yard and can only jump cross poles. This is one area where I think Midarc should make the clubs improve, you have made huge steps in that direction with the showing side, but jumping seems to be the poor relation

We are aware of the varying standards of the courses at various shows, and we are trying to do something to resolve the issues you have mentioned. We have this year, 14 people on the Course Builders course, and they are being monitored throughout the year, and already we are seeing the benefits in other regions. Your comments re Stanley Park are welcomed, we have always tried to build Championship Standard Courses there in the main ring, most seem to appreciate it, but some dont. Let us know which shows you think are not building up to standard and we will see what we can do
