Well we have our first show booked in for June 26th but need some help on turnout, individual shows etc My boyfriend is entering his mare in the Ridden Veteran class - what kind of individual show would he need to do? He was thinking walk, trot, figure of 8 inc canter and then a canter down the long side. We also have other shows booked in. How would she/my bf be turned out for the following classes: Veteran - ridden and inhand Arab/Part bred arab Thoroughbred/Part bred thoroughbred Riding club horse Inhand any breed/any age And me & Lucky for the following: Inhand any breed/any age Inhand or ridden cob/cob type Best mare Would she be eligible for the coloured/spotted classes? Here are pics of the two of them: Seppie - 20 year old TB x Arab mare: Lucky - 12 year old Welsh Section D mare:

Hi great you are joining in with the local shows! I am certainly no expert in showing but drawing on what little knowledge i posses i would say that: your individual show sounds fine - just don't make it too long. I'm not 100% sure on what you/horse should be turned out like especially for arab classes but perhaps some one with more knowledge could enlighten you there! I'm fairly sure the riding club horse involves 3 -4 small jumps so check your bf is ok with that! Check the height requirement in Midarc rules for cob classes and no - in my humble opinion your mare looks fleabitten grey and therefore would not be eligible for coloured/spotted class There's still loads you can do if those particular classes i've mentioned aren't suitable so enjoy the show and good luck!
